Once a month spend some time at Vulcan's Rest creating a gourd project. Upcoming projects are:
Indian Corn Bowl
The corn will provide an opportunity to try different techniques with a wood burner and carving tool. Bring the following if you have them: Woodburner (the inexpensive Walnut Hollow works) - blade tip or wedge tip, Dremel or other carving tool with the following burs #199, 116, and dust mask.

Santa Gourd
This class is made up of two crafts, needle felting and gourding. In the morning (9-noon), meet with Robin to needle felt a Santa face. In the afternoon (1-5pm), Suzi will instruct you on making a gourd for your Santa face. The needle felting class fee is $25 and the gourd class fee is $35.

Stone Rim Bowl
Using natural stone chips, learn how to rim a gourd bowl that you will color with Adirondack® Alcohol Inks. Check out the sample at the shop.

Lidded Leaf Bowl
Participants in this class will design a leaf bowl with lid, cutting with a mini jig saw, and woodburning or carving veins. Using leather dyes and guilder's paste participants will color a gourd leaf provided by the Instructor. Bring the following if you have it: a mini jig saw, dust mask, power rotary tool (Dremel or other brand), an engraving cutter (example dremel 107)or a woodburner.
